Here’s what discourages me: the very real prospect that Trump’s SCOTUS will overturn many if not all of the lower courts “pro-democracy” decisions.
This is the Court that believes in the unitary executive, immune from accountability under the law.
And much more frightening: that the growing class of US billionaires (our oligarchs!), who control the media (newsprint, cable and SM), will do all they can to legitimize the Trump agenda.
Has there ever been such disparity in wealth that was reversed by peaceful means; by the vote, legislation; that did not eventuate in upheaval, etc.?
